Situated in the historic town, Graaff-Reinet, the centre of the Karoo Midlands, the Andies Stockenstrom guest house is a culinary oasis of South Africa where food is a passion, dinners are legendary, a highlight of your stay and an experience to be savored and remembered. The owners Gordon and Rose Wright invite you to become part of this experience, Karoo hospitality at its best. Bedrooms are warm and cozy with comforts and extras including personal and wholehearted service. The guest house and dining room, located in a manor house built circa 1819, has six en-suite double rooms all elegantly furnished. All rooms have 100 percale linen and mohair blankets from the region and have air conditioning, hairdryer and veranda/patio. The floors in the old house are all original yellow wood. Relax on the pool terrace or in the lounge and enjoy cocktails in our beautiful Karoo sunsets. Guests can stroll the streets filled with architectural treasures, of which more than 200 are National Monuments. Visit the Valley of Desolation and nature reserve with plenty of game to view or travel over the desolate, yet exquisite landscapes and revel in the open spaces.
