Karoo Lodge

The 5 star Samara Karoo Lodge is located in the malaria-free Samara Private Game Reserve which is surrounded by the panoramic Karoo mountain landscape. The Lodge is visited by eland, buffalo, aardvark and giraffe. The 3 Lodge Suites are situated in the main homestead and are light and spacious, all opening out on to the wide veranda.

The 3 Karoo Suites are called "cottages" and are larger than the Lodge Suites. The rooms have en-suite bathrooms with air-conditioning, outdoor shower and fireplace. The bathtub enjoys views of the surrounding bush. Linen is luxurious and rooms are cleaned daily. Dinner is served at the Boma where traditional cuisine is enjoyed under the African sky and a variety of indoor and al fresco dining options are available to guests. Activities include guided sunrise and sunset game drives, cheetah tracking and visits to the rock art and fossil sites.
