Tatenda Guest House
DESCRIPTION
This elegant guest house is situated along the N2 highway in the town of Mount Frere over looking the town’s craft shop, Madikane ka Zulu’s grave (the Bhaca nation’s founder) and the ultra-modern Madzikane kaZulu memorial hospital.
Tatenda is a word taken from the Shona language meaning “thank you” and its in this spirit that lodging initiative was born. We wanted a way to plough back to the community and show the spirit of Africa to the rest of the world.
The business is 100% black youth female-owned and managed. There are eight staff members to date.
We boast a substantial blue-chip clientele, national, provincial, government and work with travel agencies nationwide.
