Quillets

Quillets is situated in the charming little village of Clarens, known as the Jewel of the Eastern Free State. Quillets is situated on five acres of gardens and orchards perched on the side of a mountain with breathtaking views of the surrounding Maluti and Rooiberg range. The guesthouse is unique and exclusive as it offers only one unit of accommodation. It comprises one very large bedroom with a double bed and two single beds. The en suite accommodation includes a large sitting dining area and libraryfull bathroom and toilet, a second toilet and wash basin, a sitting out area off the bedroom and in addition a balcony off the sitting room, all connected by a short flight of stairs. Quillets is 1km from the town centre on a tarred road. This means that guests have the peace and tranquility of the countryside, away from the noise and congestion of the town and at the same time have all the facilities of the town within easy reach. There is hiking trails, 18 hole golf course, tennis and squash courts, abseiling, Golden Gate Nature Reserve, White Water Rafting, Quad Biking Game Viewing, fly fishing, hiking and for the more adventurous, abseiling and white water rafting. Between the high sandstone Rooiberge and the Maluti Mountains, the picturesque little town of Clarens is aptly described as "The Jewel of the Free State".

Clarens is situated in the foothills of the Maluti Mountains in very close proximity to the Golden Gate National Park and the mountain kingdom of Lesotho. Nearby, the panoramic Highland Route meanders along the foothills of the Maluti Mountains. The relaxed village atmosphere and the spectacular views and mild climate make Clarens an idyllic weekend getaway.
