TheraVINE, called "the next generation of vine-derived cosmetics" by Les Nouvelles Esthetique Magazine, draws primarily on extracts of Pinotage, infused with organic Cape botanicals. Reputed for its nutritional supplement use, the anti-oxidant properties of ‘vino therapy’ in skin and beauty cosmetics have been pioneered in South Africa by Lisa Smit in Stellenbosch.
The stylish Chicama Country Spa has chosen the romance of the vineyard as its theme. It is decorated in soothing neutrals, with deep burgundy brought out in Persian rugs and subtle décor touches. Treatment rooms have been named after wines, such as Merlot, Shiraz, Pinotage and Chardonnay.
