SUGAR FIELDS LODGE (formerly called BELLA VISTA)is situated on a working Sugar and Beef Farm, with a Wholesale Nursery, boasting views of rolling canefields and the distant hills of the Gwahumbe valley.
Offering you a variety of Accommodation Options from Basic Camping, Self Catering to Full Board, and a choice of Conference and Function Venues.
With a wide range of Exciting Activities and Breathtaking Views.

We are well known for our excellent home cooked meals and your hostess Sally can prepare a special three course dinner, light lunches, tea eats and lip-smacking breakfasts. Or you can order off the menu for a quick meal.
The Main House:
The Main House sleeps 10 Guests in 5 ensuite bedrooms
The upper floor is on entrance and parking level and has Room 1 to 4 on this level. The Main Lounge, Business Lounge and Msenge Dinning Room is also on this level.
The Business lounge has a communal fridge/freezer and mini kitchen with microwave for the use of guests.
Room 1: Consists of a shower and has a view of the top garden.
Room 2: Consists of a bath and has a view over the pool and country side.
Room 3: Consists of a Shower and has a view over the pool and country side.
Room 4: Consists of a shower and bath and also has a view over the pool and country side.
The Lower level leads onto the pool area and has Room 5 and Canecutters Pub.
Room 5: Is on the lower level and Consists of a bath and has a view of the pool Area. This Room can be noisy if there is a function in the Canecutters Pub.
The Rondavel
The Rondavel is situated close to the Ntimbankulu Suites and is ideal for those who like being under thatch.
It has a shower indoors and its own private garden with an outdoor shower.
The Ntimbankulu Suites:
The Ntimbankulu Suites consisting of 2 bedrooms – The Ntimbankulu Suite with its own entrance hall with mini kitchen and Bathroom.
And the Ntimbankulu Encane with its own entrance and en-suite, with a shower.
But they have the option of opening an inter-leading door to make the 2 rooms into a family suite.
Ntimbankulu Honeymoon Suite:
The Ntimbankulu Honeymoon Suite consists of a wonderfully decorated open plan room with a jet-master fireplace, kitchenette and dinning area. The Bathroom has a spa bath and shower. It also has its own private patio with garden & outdoor shower area. It also boasts a wonderful view.
Shona Langa Suites:
The Shona Langa Executive Suites also consist of 2 rooms each with their own outdoor shower in private gardens.
These share a private entrance hall, with a mini kitchen and small dinning room, which makes it ideal for a family to take as a unit. These are situated away from the house also with views in both directions.
They also share a entrance garden area with a braai.
Fisherman Cottage & Cabin
Fishermans Cottage is situated on top of the garden overlooking the main house and has an amazing view. It is tastefully decorated as a rustic farm cottage consisting of 2 en-suite units each with it's own entrance, patio and kitchen.
The Cottage has a larger kitchen and a lounge / dining room area and a bath.
The Cabin is smaller and open plan with kitchenette and a shower.
If booked out as a unit it makes an ideal unit for a family getaway.
Camp Site:
This is a very basic and rustic camping area down at Gwahumbe Dam.
It has a basic flush toilet and outdoor shower.
A basic area to use as an outdoor kitchen and a fire pit.
You need to supply all your own equipment and drinking water.
However we can supply your basic kitchen and eating utensils and drinking water at an extra fee.
