You may wish to venture to the nearby World Natural Heritage Site, The Greater Saint Lucia Wetland Park , where five distinct ecosystems meet to form a wonderland of ecological diversity to be found no where else in South Africa. In the north of the park, the warm sea, lush forests on tall dunes, long unspoilt sandy beaches and coral reefs of the marine reserve at Sodwana Bay, are reputed to be some of the best in the World.

A short drive will bring you to World class Hluhluwe Umfolozi and Mkuze Game Reserves in which the BIG FIVE including the endangered black rhino, white rhino, elephant, buffalo, lion and leopard are found together with the tallest of all mammals the giraffe and vast varieties of other African wildlife. You may self drive or enjoy this experience in an open game drive vehicle.

At Leopard Walk Lodge guests can relax in well appointed out of Africa accommodation which is situated at the edge of a unique sand forest. All rooms and are furnished comfortably with bathrooms ensuite and the forest lodge has an out door Jacuzzi where in the evening you may relax under the dazzling stars which are so close that you may wish to touch them.

The Honeymoon Suite, with glass walls and Spa bath, is situated in the Forest and Buffalo Thorn with views over the reserve.

Enjoy delicious South African cuisine at the restaurant overlooking a waterhole where animals are observed as they come down to drink. Tales and experiences of the day will be exchanged over cocktails at the relaxing Trackers Rest Bar In the early morning a spectacular view of sunrise, or in the evening the majestic sight of the full moon rising over the African bush will be an unforgettable experience to be enjoyed from Moonrise Deck.
