Tembe Masizwane Lodge
DESCRIPTION
Tembe Masizwane Lodge is a 4 star game lodge situated in the Tembe Elephant Park in Northern Kwazulu-Natal. Guests can look forward to a unique experience as the lodge is one of the very few situated in a sand forest.
The lodge places strong emphasis on responsible tourism and strives to ensure the protection of Africa's spectacular natural heritage in a manner that is beneficial to the people that inhabit the land. The new lodge celebrates traditional Zulu Culture; customs and pastoral way of life.
The chalets are tucked into the landscape and are spaced far enough apart that they offer privacy for the outdoor showers that are a feature of each. There are also indoorshower facilities as well as a desk and small seating area. Outside, on the deck, there is a table and chairs that allows guests to relax and watch the birdlife.
The Lodge consists of the following:
- Administration, Reception and Curio Shop
- Main Lodge and Restaurant
- 2 x two Bedroom Chalets (twin beds in each room sleeping 4 people per chalet)
- 12 x one Bedroom Chalets (twin beds accommodating 2 people per chalet).
Visitors to the lodge have the following included in their rate:
- Dinner
- Bed
- Breakfast
- Light Lunch
- 2 x Game drives per day with a complimentary bottle of water on each drive
- Sand Forest & Birding hikes in the sand forest will be guided walks but will be complementary.

Tembe Masizwane Experience Beautiful venue - this was our second visit and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Attention to detail is slightly lacking, e.g. tea/coffee in rooms, dusting and decks not swept. If more time is spent on the above, the venue comes highly recomended.
