Gateway Hotel

The Gateway Hotel is a brand-new hotel that opened on 1 May 2011 and is situated in the heart of Umhlanga Rocks, KwaZulu Natal. This hotel offers accommodation in 146 guest rooms that all have en-suite bathrooms.

The Gateway Hotel offers guests direct access to the famous Gateway Theatre of Shopping where they can choose from 380 stores, 38 restaurants, a Ster Kinekor, a Cinema Nouveau, an art gallery, rock climbing wall and sports arena with the biggest stationary wave in the world. Umhlanga also offers other things to see and do including the Umhlanga Lighthouse, O’Connor Promenade, Hawaan Forest, the Natal Sharks Board and the many beaches in close proximity to the hotel.

This hotel offers 146 guest rooms that are split into standard rooms (103), deluxe rooms (40) and junior suites (3). The standard rooms come fully equipped with TV, safe, air conditioning, en-suite bathroom, mini bar, Wi-Fi Internet access, hairdryer and breakfast included in the room rates. There are twelve interleading rooms and two paraplegic rooms. The deluxe rooms have a balcony and a separate bath.

The Gateway Hotel also offers a rooftop pool, rooftop bar, five conference venues, secure parking, 24-hour reception and restaurant.
