Blackbrook Self Catering

Blackbrook Self Catering Cottages are 2 cosy, stone-clad, thatched cottages each in it's own fully fenced, spacious garden.Each has a fully equipped kitchen (gas stove, microwave, fridge/freezer and granite tops), open plan lounge area and separate bedroom.

Struan's Cottage sleeps 4; shower/toilet and DStv.

Dean's Cottage sleeps 6 (separate en-suite bedroom and loft area each with 3 beds); shower; loo; no TV.Both have outside seating areas, braai facilities and umbrellas.

Blackbrook Farm is a 74ha working farm, 6km out of Underberg in the foothills of the Southern Drakensberg. Experience the tranquility of a farm yet close to all activities and amenities on offer in the area.

There are 2 dams - the Main House Dam is stocked with trout; the dam closest to the cottages has trout and bass.We feed the fish most evenings and guests are welcome to join us - children especially enjoy the experience.
Guests are welcome to fish, as long as you kindly adhere to the catch and release system; do not use treble hooks on the lures and only fly fish at the Main House Dam.There is a kayak and canoe for paddling on the dam.

We do not have a fence around our home, so our dogs are not contained.Tug, our Bull Mastiff, together with his accomplices the Jack Russel duo (Timmy and Roxy) love to welcome "their" guests.They are boisterous but not aggressive.We advise guests to please close your garden gate on arrival and keep them closed if you are wary of dogs or have brought your pet.We love our animals and our farm, please show all plant and animal life respect when visiting, this is their home!
