Raptor Retreat Game Lodge
DESCRIPTION
Situated on the Balule Parsons Nature Reserve in the Mopani region, approximately 40km north of Hoedspruit and only a 4km game drive away from the banks of the Oliphant’s River. Parsons Nature Reserve forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park.
At the heart of Raptor Retreat is the Main Lodge where guests can gather to either dine or catch- up on their adventures. Relax with a drink on the deck or slump into one of the voluptuous leather couches.
The Main Lodge features a huge deck that looks out over an open plain where herds come to graze or drink at the water hole and predators wait for an opportunity. The large lounge area features comfortable seating, a fireplace, full DSTV and a modest library of DVDs and books for those rainy days. Hearty meals will be served twice a day in the dining area, or on the deck, where you will experience good old-fashioned home cooking. Any special dietary requirements should be arranged beforehand during the booking process. Game drives can be booked at reception and will leave from the car park outside.You will also be able to purchase toiletry items you may have left behind.
The accommodation at Raptor Retreat is some of the best the industry has to offer. We currently have two private lodges: the Elephant Lodge and the Buffalo Lodge. Each air-conditioned room has a huge, built-in king-size bed as well as a large sliding door that opens onto a private deck with double recliners. Slip into your own splash pool to cool off under the hot African Sun or spoil yourself with a Spa treatment in the privacy of your room.
Our newly built self catering units (2) each have two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (shower only), large lounge with full DSTV, raised deck with splash pool & private boma with braai facilities, well equipped kitchen & dining area. These units are serviced daily and all main lodge facilities are available to the self catering guests. If you want to take a break from coiking, meals can be arranged at the Main Lodge. We require at least 24 hour notice or it can be done during the booking process.

A 50% deposit is required to secure the booking with the final balance due one week prior to arrival. If cancelled up to 30 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled up to 20 days before date of arrival, 25% of the total price of the reservation will be charged. If cancelled up to 10 days before date of arrival, 50% of the total price of the reservation will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
