DESCRIPTION
Set on the banks of the magnificent Olifants River, Singwe River Lodge forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park offering excellent opportunities for viewing many species of wildlife including the Big Five - buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard and rhino.
The lodge boasts excellent game viewing vehicles, and employs qualified, professional rangers and Shangaan trackers who have excellent knowledge of the local wildlife and vegetation.
Singwe River Lodge offers accommodation in the Manor House with three luxury suites, and three one bedroom riverside thatched chalets.
The Manor House is set back from the river and shaded by trees, featuring stunning panoramic views of the river and surrounding bushveld. Built on two levels, it is a cool, thatched building with an upper deck and lower covered veranda. There is one suite upstairs and two on ground level, each with an en-suite bathroom with shower and bath, and doors which open onto the garden or the deck. One of the lower level suites can also accommodate two children under 12.
The Riverside Thatched Chalets are built on the banks of the Olifants River, each with a bedroom, an en-suite bathroom with shower, air-conditioning and a fan. One of these chalets can also accommodate two children under 12.
The rooms are spacious and equipped with air-conditioning, fans and mosquito mesh on the windows for guests who prefer to leave their windows open. Queen size beds, thick fluffy white towels, bathroom amenities, towelling robes and personal safes complete the luxury. Guests have access to a comfortable living area upstairs with a bar and facilities to make tea and coffee. A television is available for major sports events.
Singwe offers fully catered holidays with mouth-watering English and Continental breakfasts, a light lunch and gourmet dinner served in the restaurant or, weather permitting, in the African Boma around a campfire. Private dinners for couples celebrating a special occasion can be arranged in the Manor House dining room on request. Guests also have the option of booking the entire camp and enjoying a self-catering holiday where the staff will prepare delicious meals for you with your own provisions, serve them to you and clean up afterwards.
