Tangala Safari Camp
DESCRIPTION
Tangala Safari Camp is one of the few remaining authentic family owned safari camps in South Africa. It is situated in the 22 000 acre Thornybush Reserve, a prime ecological area abundant with wildlife. The biodiversity of the reserve attracts a wide variety of wildlife including the ‘Big 5’.
Tangala has striking views of the Drakensberg Mountains and is close to the Orpen Gate of the world famous Kruger National Park. The camp consists of a central dining and lounge area with full bar and a swimming pool with a deck. Hot water is provided by traditional donkey-boilers (geysers).
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation is comprised of five twin bed thatched chalets. All chalets are en-suite and features its own private viewing patio. The camp is electricity free with lighting being provided by lantern. Hot water is provided at all times, when requested. Tangala is one of only a few electricity free camps in South Africa.
CUISINE & DINING
Meals are prepared on gas or open fires. The cuisine is evocative of Africa in all her many guises. Meals are social occasions and a time to listen and share fascinating tales of the bush or to sit back and reflect on the day passed. The wine list has been specially designed by Cape wine experts, and all dietary requirements can be accommodated.
GAME VIEWING
Stays include two game drives in open vehicles including coffee and tea in the morning. A romantic sundowner is a pleasant interlude during the night drives. Meals include a full breakfast / brunch, mid afternoon tea, snacks and boma dinner.Sightings include lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo, giraffe and zebra.

A 10% cancellation fee will be levied on a cancellation 8 weeks and more prior to arrival.
A 25% cancellation fee will be levied on confirmed bookings cancelled 6 to 8 weeks before arrival.
A 50% cancellation fee on the total booking will be levied on bookings cancelled 3 to 6 weeks of your arrival.
A 100% cancellation fee on confirmed bookings cancelled within 1 to 14 days or not arriving without prior arrangement
