Glenshiel Hotel offers luxurious country living in the heart of the majestic Magoebaskloof Mountains on the Northern-most section of the mighty Drakensberg range. This area also incorporates the Wolkberg and the Iron Crown Mountains, forming a panoramic backdrop.
The 15 rooms each feature an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and shower unit. There are three exclusive suites, each with a log fire, wing back chairs, king-sized bed, and percale linen. Rooms are equipped daily with coffee, tea, rusks and bottled water. Each bathroom has an extensive range of amenities from Maria Garcia. Room facilities include a safety deposit box, hairdryer, mini bar, mini baskets, and television with selected DSTV channels. There are gowns and slippers in every bathroom. The restaurant boasts exquisite culinary creations, carefully prepared in the state-of-the-art kitchen. Gourmet cuisine and fine wines are complimented by meticulous and friendly service. The Tumble Inn Pub is the ideal place to enjoy a sundowner, cocktail or cigar. Tea and scones can be enjoyed in the charming garden. Vegetarians and special dietary requirements are accommodated.
Glenshiel offers a self-contained conference suite set amidst beautiful gardens. The patio commands a view of the swimming pool and indigenous forest. On chilly and misty days the room is heated by an open fire, spacious enough for 30 delegates.
