Shindzela Tented Safari Camp
DESCRIPTION
Shindzela is a wilderness tented safari camp, set within the greater Kruger National Park, South Africa, offering an authentic wildlife safari, in an unfenced wilderness environment.
There is no electricity in the camp: instead the camp uses solar power, gas and candles. Shindzela is a simple but comfortable bush camp with accommodation in twin bed safari canvas tents, set on wooden platforms. Each tent has a wooden entrance door, adjustable canvas flaps for windows, and mesh to keep insects out. Tents are equipped with a solar light, all bedding, towels and a torch. Separate, shared ablutions are built from reeds, thatch and wood and bathroom features a shower with running hot and cold water and a modern flush toilet.
Shindzela offers guests the option of booking out the entire camp on a self catering basis, for a minimum of a 3 night booking and the camp rate is inclusive of morning and evening game drives with your own ranger and services of a camp attendant.
Shindzela offers game drive safaris and walking safaris, and can accommodate your preference of activity. The specialized wildlife walking safaris give guests the chance to explore the African wilderness on foot led by armed and experienced walking safari guides, promising you a true walking safari in a Big Five game viewing area.
The Timbavati Private Game Reserve, South Africa, is home to a myriad of mammal species, including Africas Big Five animals (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant). Other species of game that you may encounter whilst on safari include hyena, jackal, giraffe, hippo, wild dog, zebra, kudu and impala, to mention just a few. There are over 350 bird species recorded in the area. The Reserve is open to the Kruger National Park, providing animals with a vast expanse of wilderness in which to roam, free of fences.
The camp is deliberately undeveloped, so as to better blend in to the environment, and offer guests an undisturbed wilderness experience, promising guests an untamed African safari.
