Antoinettes Petit Chalet

Antoinette's Petit Chalet is a cosy and private one roomed self-catering garden cottage, in quaint Kosmos Village, with a separate entrance and views of the Hartbeespoort Dam.

Kosmos Village is set on the Northern shores of the Hartbeespoort Dam and with the Magalies Mountains as a back drop. It has magnificent views over Hartbeespoort Dam. You enter Kosmos Village through the thatched security entrance and as you enter into the village, you can sense the calm descend upon you.

Walk up a few steps from the carport and turn right through the garden gate into your own private court yard and your home for the weekend where a complementary welcome sparkling wine/sherry welcomes you. Relax away on the comfortable settee whilst watching DStv. Or rock away in the rocking chairs on the patio, just staring across the court yard and trees to the water and mountains south of the dam.

The cottage is ideal for a couple and is furnished with a comfortable double sleigh bed with an en-suite bathroom. The lounge area is equipped with a comfortable couch and a TV with DStv. The kitchenette is equipped with a two-plate electric hob, a microwave oven, a fridge and the unit is fully stocked with crockery, cutlery, linen and towels The patio has an outside table and chairs for dining and a braai. The rates include a welcome sparkling wine and basics such as tea, coffee, sugar, milk and rusks are provided.

The cottage is situated within the grounds of another property, but it is private with its own private court yard area, braai facilities and secure parking/carport. Antoinette's Petit Chalet offers tranquil accommodation in the simply beautiful Kosmos Village, with its unique atmosphere, curvy streets, nature trail and art galleries.

We try to make your stay here as peaceful and relaxing as possible and for that reason we unfortunately do not cater for children (except babes in arms) or pets. Please note Antoinette's Petit Chalet is not serviced during your stay.

The only noise to disturb the tranquillity are those of the birds; babblers, hornbills, grey loerie's, bee eaters, plum coloured starlings, bull bulls, wood hoopoes, barbets and more. Access to the water is within a short walk to the foreshore.

Venture further during the day and cross off several bucket list items: go zip lining, take a cable car trip to the highest mountain around, take off in a balloon, micro light, attend a craft market, listen to some live music or make some cheese at van Gaalen's all with 15 minutes of Antoinette's Petit Chalet. Various other activities can be enjoyed in the area such as a visit to the elephant and monkey sanctuaries, golfing, De Wildt Cheetah centre, the Lesedi cultural village, Sterkfontein caves, the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site, arts and crafts as well as excellent restaurants and many more.
