Jaci's Safari and Tree Lodges

Jacis Safari and Tree Lodges are two exceptional privately owned lodges run by Jan and Jaci together with an outstanding team will exceed all your safari expectations. The lodge is situated in the MALARIA FREE Madikwe Game Reserve boasting 75,000 hectares of Top Ten territory.

You can also expect to see Wild Dog both Black and White Rhino. Extensive plains game including Sable, Gemsbok, Springbok and Giraffe, as well as over 340 species of birds. Arrive by air after an easy 45 minute flight from Gauteng, or enjoy a scenic 3.5 hour drive from Gauteng to the entrance of the reserve. Children of all ages are welcome at Jacis. With only eight tents and two exclusive family suites - the established nare suite and the newly built safari suite. All the tents as well as the two suites are built using a combination of shaggy thatched roofs, stone and canvas walls to create an authentic tented feel. Each tent has an open plan bathroom with a hand built rock bath and outdoor safari shower. A private wooden viewing deck at the entrance overlooks a small stream where animals and birds come to drink.

Enjoy fire cooked meals in our enclosed boma, or under the stars at a bush braai. Lounge at the pool or enjoy bird watching from the hammock on the bank of the Groot Marico River. Indulge yourself in your surroundings.

Jacis Tree Lodge:
Jacis Tree Lodge opened in December 2002 - with eight Tree Houses, each encompassing a giant Tambotie or Leadwood tree. Each Tree House is constructed amongst the Riverine forest on stilts, up to 6 meters above the ground. In these spacious Tree Houses built utilizing a combination of rosewood, thatch and stacking doors - the forest surrounds are invited in, to compliment your stay with us. An open plan, en-suite bathroom with an enormous stone bath and outdoor jungle shower allow you to enjoy your forest surrounds.

Relax on the deck in front of your room, in the main lodge or wander to the forest pool to cool off. Raised wooden walkways, suspended in the forest canopy lining the banks of the Marico River, will connect with the extraordinary Main Lodge and its generous facilities.

WEDDINGS

Jacis provides outstanding venues, complete with a team of people to ensure your special day is hassle free.

At Jacis we assist you in planning the perfect day. We have catered for several weddings from 2 to 80 persons, each created around the individual needs of the wedding couple.

Our wedding package includes our usual daily activities and meals. The extra details flowers, pastor, photographer, etc are privately arranged and we can assist once everything is at the lodge.

At Jacis we can accommodate 36 adults between Safari and Tree Lodge which allows two different venues for the ceremony and for the reception.
