The 3 star Kwa Mmatau Wildlife Reserve is a self-catering property, built on 1500 hectares of malaria-free bushveld with the majestic Magaliesberg mountain range as its backdrop. The nearest town is Rustenburg and Johannesburg is a one and a half hour drive from the property. The Ngwaritse River runs through the western side of the reserve, attracting an abundance of wild mammals and bird species.
The family run property offers guests a personalised service and guarantees a relaxing and rejuvenating stay, away from the stresses of busy city life. The family takes sustainable development and restoration of the environment very seriously and invites their guests to experience the wonders of nature for themselves.
The house, accommodating up to 10 guests, is located on the western savannah boundary and enjoys the shade of a towering Wild Olive tree and the calming sound of the Ngwaritse River. The luxury house is serviced daily and features 5 large bedrooms, furnished with double and twin beds, electric fans, heaters, 2 en-suite bathrooms with a shower,a second bathroom with shower and bathtub and a separate toilet.
Guests can look forward to enjoying the many bird species, attracted to the dam, from the comfort of the outdoor patio. The large reed boma is ideal for barbeque meals and the nearby swimming pool offers great relief in the summer. Secure parking is available to guests.
An educational game drive, included in the rate, is offered at sunrise or sunset. Other activities and attractions include gambling at Sun City casino, hiking, fishing and cycling.
