Regardlessthe name itself that describes the beauty of this oasis, we are situated on the banks of the Vaal River just outside of Douglas on the R357 to Prieska.Here you will find a peaceful, secure surrounding in the quiet of nature. We are surrounded by BIG Gumtrees and a lush garden with beautiful grass and playground for children, sitting spots for the tired businessman to relax with river view and a absolute playground for the fisherman.
At Sunset View we offer the following:

•Luxurious Guesthouse with 4 en-suite rooms each with their own personal décor touch, shower, air-conditioning , DSTV, hairdryer, coffee making facilities, clean towels, linen, mini refrigerator and something sweet to enjoy while settling into this home – away – from home comfort. All our rooms have their own entrance which walks out on the garden where you can experience different bird life. Guesthouse parking are safe and onsite.We offer transport from the Douglas Airfield to the Guesthouse and back. For the guests that want to break away for the weekend and do self catering we offer the kitchen of the guesthouse that are fully equipped with the necessary equipment and cutlery. We cater for breakfasts (packs), lunch (packs) and dinners or any other kind of catering. There are “braai” facilities on the balcony or near the river.We strive to offer only the best service and to keep our service consequently. . Come enjoy a good night’s rest, sleepover or weekend – away while hearing the Fish Eagle, see some Geese paddling around or just to relax on the balcony and appreciated natures beauty when the sun sets.

•Campsites

Our campsites are all between 20 and 30m from the river. We offer 17 campsites with max 6 per site. All our sites are mostly shady during the day, with early morning sun.The campsites are all approx. 50m from a neatly ablution for “Ladies” and “Gents” separate with wash basins . We have electricity points andoffer “braaiers” for thosethat don’t have enough space to pack. The fishing spot on the river are a beautiful grasslevel for each and everyone to enjoy. Sunset View do support ‘Catch and Release” and would appreciate it if all our guestscould honour this.

Function Venue

We offer a beautiful venue to suit your utmost needs.From Weddings, and conferences to birthday celebrations and reunions.Our LAPAare situated on the bank of the river with a beautiful view and background. We can cater for up to 100 people in the LAPA, with a balcony for the ceremony .Any function bigger than this we can arrange for a Marquee tent.We do catering, décor, flowers, music and can arrange for photography.
