The Overlook

The Overlook, perched on a hilltop above the town of Keimoes, provides a private and tranquil setting for those wanting to explore this magnificent area.

There are 3 thatched chalets, each boasting a panoramic view of the Kalahari Desert and Orange River Valley. Each chalet has a fully equipped kitchenette for a self catering stay, air conditioning, satellite television and a private patio which offers an endless view of the vast vineyards of the Northern Cape. Rooms are non smoking and small pets are welcome on request.

The horizon pool, partially enclosed by a thatched lapa, provides the perfect place to relax during hot days. There is a swim up bar and entertainment area, as well as private barbeque facility.

Your hosts are Eric Husing, a native New Yorker, and his wife, Anna, a South African.Eric is an award winning chef and serves gourmet cuisine at the onsite restaurant. Room service is available.

An airport shuttle service can be booked in advance and a baby-sitting and laundry service is on offer. Secure parking is available on site and drinks can be enjoyed at the nearby bar.

Guests can look forward to fishing and discovering the many hiking and cycling trails in the area. There are a wide variety of curio shops where fabulous souvenirs can be bought. There are various local tours that can be booked and a wine route is nearby. Safaris can be booked onsite.
