Built in 1910, the Edwardian house has been tastefully converted into individual guest rooms each with their own en-suite. We also have two self-contained Studio Rooms each with their own private entrance. All rooms are furnished with high quality fixtures and fittings, including queen-size beds, en-suite, aircon, DSTV (hotel bouquet) and free WiFi. Some rooms have an extra single sofa-bed.
There is plenty of secure car parking. There are peaceful sitting areas in the Fountain Garden and on the Bullnose Stoep. At the rear a lovely large tree provides plenty of shade for sitting and eating outside. There are several braai stands in the gardens (please bring wood/charcoal with you), a dipping pool in the summer months, as well as swings and a rustic jungle gyms for the children.The property is surrounded by high walls with electric security fencing front and rear.

The Solomon Edwardian Guest House is located in a quiet part of Kimberley, the capital city of South Africa's Northern Cape province. Nestled between the historic suburbs of Beaconsfield, Herlear, Klisserville and Belgravia, The Solomon lies halfway between Kimberley's historic "Big Hole" and "Du Toitspan" diamond mines. Just two kilometers from the city centre, The Solomon is a stone's throw from the municipal boundary stone used by Cecil John Rhodes to mount his horse after a refreshing pint at The Halfway House. The McGregor Museum, used by Rhodes as his headquarters during the Anglo-Boer War, is a gentle walk away.
