For a truly unique experience, come and stay for a week at Tonquani, and join us in our annual oyster festival which draws thousands of people to our shores to celebrate, and from a reliable source, devour more than two hundred thousand oysters in 10 days! The cultivated Knysna Oyster is unique to this area, and is famous for its fresh and nutty taste. The wild coastal oyster is also readily available at local eateries, and are more salty in taste.
Knysna is one of the most beautiful quaint little towns along the Garden Route, and nestles between the impressive Outeniqua Mountains, the Indian Ocean and flanked by forests measuring some 80,000 ha in size, which are managed to strict conservation principles. These forests are also home to the only forest elephants in South Africa. Knysna also has some unique but endangered species such as the Knysna Seahorse, the Brenton Blue Butterfly, the delicate Pansy Shell and the Dwarf Chameleon.

Cancellation: Half of your deposit will be refundable on written cancellation notice received 42 days prior to your arrival date.
The tariff is inclusive of the entire chalet inventory. Cots are available on request at a nominal daily charge, and includes bedding. Please book prior to arrival to ensure availability.
The tariff applies per chalet for 2 or 5 people (excluding babies in cots) depending on chalet size, based on a daily rate and includes breakfast. Refunds will not be given for late arrivals or early departures. Management reserves the right to re-let bookings not taken by 6.oo pm on the booked date of arrival unless notice of late arrival is given.
No smoking in the chalets.
