Palmiet Valley Wine Estate is a luxury boutique hotel, situated on a working wine farm in Paarl, only 30 minutes from Cape Town and Cape Town International Airport.The magnificent gabled walls of a Cape Dutch homestead await you when you enter the white gates of Palmiet Valley Wine Estate. Vineyards stretch out to the Drakenstein Mountains to offer a haven of luxury accommodation to the discerning traveller.

Guests stay in the beautifully restored farm homestead which offers crisp cotton linen on Victorian sized beds, gleaming wood floors, original art, worn Persian rugs and chinky crystal glasses from which to enjoy any of the Estates exceptional range of export wines.Decorated by the present owner, each suite is a tribute to a collector with a passion for rare finds. Every room is a treasure chest filled with novelty pieces such as an antique safe, a 1920s celebrity-owned travelling suitcase, or the antique copper kettle which makes up the tea and coffee service in the Honeymoon Suite.

Despite these historic touches, every suite is luxuriously appointed to provide every comfort, from air conditioning to CD players to set the mood.All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms ranging in style from Victorian to Turkish.

Petal scattered linen, fragrant bathtime indulgences, fluffy white towels, oversized bathrobes, and heated mattresses for cold winter nights, are just a few of the special ways that the hotel leaves guests feeling pampered.

Many couples choose to get married in the Estates beautiful gardens under a decorated gazebo with only the sky and the majestic mountains and vineyards as the backdrop. Alternatively, couples choose the romantic stone thatched vineyard chapel, or the Homesteads rooftop which overlooks the Estate.

The Presidential Suite has been converted to house a fully-equipped and dedicated conference venue with an inspiring Art Deco decorated lounge that can accommodate up to 24 delegates.

The private patio, overlooking the pool, can be used for coffee breaks and, weather permitting, lunch can be served either under the palm trees by the pool or under the canopies of the ancient oak trees, adjacent the historic Manor House; alternatively lunch can be served in the dining room of the Manor House; with its dark wood ceiling, antique furniture, silverware and a fire place, delegates will be taken back in time.

Guests are welcome to explore shops and restaurants or play a round of golf on one of the world-renowned golf courses in the vicinity. The beaches of Gordons Bay, Strand or Hermanus offer a spectacular experience, or for a cultural experience in Paarl, Franschhoek or Stellenbosch, guests can visit wine cellars, monuments, museums or historic homesteads.
