The Starling Village Backpackers team believes in making a difference. This is the way we work and the way we live.
Starling Village backpackers started in November 2005. We started revamping the property and buildings using only recycled building materials and created a special place for travellers to visit and explore.
This country style hostel is South Africa's favourite backpackers. Superbly situated with easy access to the city, forests and the gorgeous beaches in Plettenberg Bay known as the jewel of the Garden Route, it's a super-organized, friendly, fun and home to many travellers.
The swimming pool know as the tank faces the beautiful sunsets, What makes the meals so special is the love we put in it. Braai's (barbeques) and Potjie's (Traditional meal cooked in a three legged pot) are not to be missed. With so much time spent in the hospitality industry and taking care of travellers is what makes us such a popular destination. Our beautiful country style rooms and comfy beds guarantee you a good night's rest. Not to mention the cool stuff like our wicked bar, pool table, DSTV, internet, travel desk and shuttle service….
