DESCRIPTION
A Bit of Background Mike and Harriet Joao bought the farm in 1997 and for the next 13 years it was inhabited by their four spunky daughters. It was when the last of this crazy bunch left home that they heard the silence and realised the old house needed to be filled with laughter again. Mike, being a builder by trade, quickly made the changes needed, Harriet did the decor and Chelaya Country Lodge was born. The family feel is prevalent throughout the house with photographs, antique furniture handed down through the ages, and souvenirs collected on happy holidays across the world. Oregon floors, yellow wood beams, and the most unusual wall decorations set the tone for a relaxed but stylish holiday venue. In keeping with the 'family' feel, each bedroom is named after one of the four daughters. All the bedrooms have queen sized beds and each bathroom is unique.
