The Saunders family welcomes you to Eagles’ Rock, our beautiful piece of God’s creation set in the magnificent Southern Drakensberg Mountains near Underberg and Himeville. We are only 7.7 km out of Underberg on the Drakensberg Gardens Road.
Eagles’ Rock is spectacularly positioned on a mountain plateau overlooking the Umzimkulu river and farmlands with the Giants Cup flanked by the mighty Hodgeson’s peaks in the background. Enjoy the tranquility of our 25 acres of land, with pure spring water and lovely views. Take the Duiker, Thimble or Kingfisher trail, or spend a day hiking in the berg. Birdwatch and add to the checklist of over 100 bird species. Cast a fly into our well stocked trout dams. Swim in the river, the dams or filtered splash pool. Canoe, paddle ski or row. Tube the river, ride horses, visit San rock art sites, take a 4X4 trip up Sani Pass or simply relax. The options and possibilities here are endless.
