Situated in Strand, Oldsworth was built in the early 1930s when the act of building was still done in the age-old tradition of the masonry art. The ceilings are typical of the period, high for the coolness of the South African summers. The wooden floors lend that little extra to create an authentic antique atmosphere, not to mention the decor with appropriate furniture. Upon entering the house it is as if time has come to a standstill and the pleasant restfulness overwhelms you, stripping you immediately of all urges to carry on with the rushes of the times.

Oldsworth Accommodation is situated in the town Strand, a bustling metropolis of some 50 000 residents, which is situated on the shores of False Bay. Strand, along with Somerset West and Gordons Bay, forms part of the picturesque hub of the Helderberg Basin, which is one of the most visually dramatic areas in the Cape.

Oldsworth features three bed and breakfast rooms, tastefully decorated and equipped with amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. The three self-catering units offer a fully equipped kitchen and are situated 500m from the beach and town (walking distance).

Cape Town city centre is only 30 minutes/40km away from the famous Table Mountain, Robben Island and V & A Waterfront and Cape Town International Airport. The Helderberg Nature Reserve, with beautiful fynbos and where the proteas grow wild, is nearby and almost borders the historic Vergelegen Wine Estates at Somerset West.
